The Fate of Dacron Prosthetic Replacement of Abdominal Acrta

Abstract

|
Since the introduction of synthetic cloth prostheses for arterial reconstruction, wide spread use of prostheses was noted.
But few report was available about results of prostheses in living tissue in Korea.
Fortunately, we have opportunity the direct inspection of the segment (Dacron prostheses) which was implanted 2 years pre iously for aneurysm of abdominal aorta. The patient died of massive Gl pleeding. Microscopic and macroscopic study of the specimen was done and the result was compared with that in the literature.
